Know your facial
Three treatments. Three formulas. A clear look at the ingredients we chose to highlight - plus the complete ingredient list for every Serum, Pod and Gel.

The rule for this page
Familiar language first. We explain what the ingredient is and what published ingredient-level research says - without pretending that research on an ingredient is proof of the finished treatment.

Moisture-focused
Facial treatment
A moisture-focused treatment built around humectants, emollient oils and a short-contact exfoliating Pod.
Botanical story
Hydrate: what each highlighted ingredient brings to the formula.
Short explanations. No evidence scores. No chemistry lecture.
A water-binding humectant used to help the outer layers of skin hold onto hydration. Controlled human studies consistently report improved skin hydration.
A lightweight emollient oil. Human studies of topical argan oil found improvements in hydration and skin elasticity.
A wax-like emollient that helps soften skin and improve slip. Its soothing evidence is promising, but still preliminary.
An AHA used for exfoliation. Professional-strength peel studies suggest effective exfoliation with generally good tolerance; the Hydrate Pod is a much milder, short-contact format.
One of skincare's classic humectants. It helps attract water to the outer skin layers and has strong human evidence for hydration and barrier support.
A botanical fruit extract in the Hydrate Pod. Our evidence review did not find published human topical trials, so we treat it as a supporting botanical rather than a stand-alone efficacy claim.

Brighter-looking tone
Facial treatment
A brightening-focused treatment combining exfoliating acids, tone-support ingredients and a hydrating serum-and-gel base.
Botanical story
Illuminate: what each highlighted ingredient brings to the formula.
Short explanations. No evidence scores. No chemistry lecture.
The Pod contains vitamin C and stable vitamin C derivatives. Human research on L-ascorbic acid supports visible improvement in photodamage; the ethyl forms used here have less direct clinical outcome data.
A brightening ingredient used to support a more even-looking tone. Human arbutin studies are positive, while much of the alpha-arbutin evidence comes from combination formulas.
A PHA that exfoliates while staying hydration-friendly. Small human studies found improved hydration and an acidified skin surface without damaging the barrier.
A familiar ingredient in brightening regimens that can support a more even-looking tone. It can irritate some skin, so the treatment directions matter.
A cactus-fruit extract in the Pod. Small studies using related Opuntia species found short-term hydration; evidence for this exact species is indirect.
A botanical extract that gives the Pod a recognizable natural ingredient story. Our evidence review did not find published human topical trials, so we do not make a stand-alone benefit claim for it.
A supporting botanical in the Serum. Published evidence is mixed, so we treat it as part of the overall formula rather than a hero treatment claim.

Clarify + reset
Facial treatment
A clarifying treatment with retinoids, antioxidant acids and a hydrating Gel - framed around what is actually in the formula, not "toxin" language.
Botanical story
Detox: what each highlighted ingredient brings to the formula.
Short explanations. No evidence scores. No chemistry lecture.
Good to know
Detox contains retinol + retinyl palmitate. Follow the treatment directions.
An emollient botanical oil. A human skin study found topical marula oil non-irritating, moisturizing and hydrating.
A familiar botanical emollient. One randomized trial found no added benefit for the skin condition tested, so we do not attach a stand-alone efficacy claim to it.
A marine extract in the Pod. Studies on related algae-derived ingredients suggest short-term hydration, but the evidence is indirect for the exact extract used here.
A vitamin A derivative with substantial published research on fine lines and tone when used regularly as a leave-on. The Detox Pod is short-contact, so those results are not equivalent to this treatment.
A milder vitamin A ester. Human evidence is mostly from multi-ingredient products rather than isolated retinyl palmitate.
Antioxidant compounds in the Pod. Ferulic acid has human evidence as part of vitamin C + E systems; most research studies it in combinations rather than alone.
Included in the Detox Gel to keep hydration in the system. Controlled human studies consistently show improved hydration with topical hyaluronic acid formulas.
Serum. Pod. Gel. Every ingredient, in one place.

Ingredient lists are reproduced from the formula sheets supplied to us. Final published INCI copy should be confirmed against the manufacturer-approved production label.
Every ingredient list should be easy to find. Every claim should be clear about what it is based on.
We show the full Serum, Pod and Gel formulas - not just the photogenic ingredients.
Published studies on individual ingredients do not automatically prove the finished treatment.
When research is indirect, mixed or missing, we say so instead of turning it into a marketing claim.
